**Earthquakes Rock Cavite with Thousands of Tremors** April 6, 2024 - Residents of Cavite, Philippines have been experiencing a series of earthquakes since 2023, with over 2,000 tremors recorded to date. According to seismic monitoring, the latest earthquake occurred at 02:50 AM on April 6, 2024, with a magnitude of 0.6. This was followed by two additional quakes with magnitudes of 4.6 and 1.34, respectively. Since 2023, Cavite has witnessed a total of 2,127 earthquakes, with the largest registering a magnitude of 6.2. The epicenter of the majority of these tremors has been located within the province. The constant seismic activity has caused concern among residents, particularly as Cavite is situated along the West Valley Fault, which is known to produce powerful earthquakes.
