The 6 Porsche 963 will start the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans in pole position after the Hyperpole session took place at the Circuit de la Sarthe. The pole lap was set by Dries Vanthoor in the No. 94 car, with a time of 3:26.911. This is Porsche's first pole position at Le Mans since 2017.
Two other Porsche 963s will start on the front row, with the No. 92 car of Laurens Vanthoor and Michael Christensen qualifying second, and the No. 93 car of Earl Bamber and Nick Tandy completing the top three. The No. 91 Toyota GR010 Hybrid of Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley, and Ryo Hirakawa will start fourth, followed by the No. 8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid of Kamui Kobayashi, Mike Conway, and Jose Maria Lopez.
The Le Mans 24 Hours is the fourth round of the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship, and is one of the most prestigious races in the world. The race will be held on June 15-16, and will be streamed live on the 24 Hours of Le Mans website.
